Ray Stevenson Dies at 58


Deadline reports that Ray Stevenson died Sunday, at 58-years-old. He was known for starring in dozens of film and television shows. His most famous appearances include playing Volstagg in the “Thor” movies, Gar Saxon in various “Star Wars” animated shows, Scott Buxton in S.S. Rajamouli’s “RRR,” Othere in the History’s critically-acclaimed “Vikings,” as well as appearing in the “Divergent” films. He will posthumously play Baylon Skoll in “Ahsoka.” His representatives at Independent Talent confirmed his death but did not provide details.


He was most recently cast in a historical drama called 1242: Gateway to the West. He was slated to take over the lead role that originally was originally to be played by Kevin Spacey.
