Poodle cross at PACT Animal Sanctuary up for adoption

Wesley, a small poodle cross, came to PACT Animal Sanctuary as an unclaimed stray, and it quickly became apparent that he was epileptic.

Wesley has spent months at the sanctuary under veterinary care as he was suffering from seizures.

He is on medication to control the severity and frequency of the seizures and will require regular vet checks and blood tests at the sanctuary.

The frequency of the checkups will vary depending on the nature of the seizures but it is likely to be every three to six months.

A spokeswoman for PACT said: "Wesley is super playful and a very cheeky boy who loves nothing more than cuddling up on your lap or in a cosy bed beside your feet.

"He walks well on a lead and enjoys socialising with other friendly dogs, but we feel he would be best suited to a home as the only dog where he can be the centre of attention.

"Wesley is ready to find his forever home with someone who will love his cheeky personality as much as the sanctuary staff do."

He suffers from mild separation anxiety so his ideal owner would be someone who has the time and flexibility to build up slowly to him being left alone.

Wesley needs to be the only pet in the home as he isn't keen on cats or other small furry animals, but he can live with "dog-savvy" children over the age of 10.
